Microshield 5 Chlorhexidine Concentrate

MICROSHIELD 5 Chlorhexidine Concentrate contains 5% w/v chlorhexidine gluconate and must be diluted prior to use. Once diluted following the directions on the label, it can be used for pre and post operative skin preparation.

Umbilical cord disinfection

Concentrate must be diluted.

DILUTION: Add 100ml of product to 150ml of distilled water and make up to IL with ethanol (96%).
For pre and post-operative skin preparation and for umbilical cord disinfection:
Dilute as above. Wet swab and apply to affected area for 2 minutes. Allow to dry.
Antiseptic solutions should be freshly prepared and discarded after use.

Contains Chlorhexidine Gluconate 5% w/v (equivalent to Chlorhexidine 28.1g/L)

ALWAYS READ THE LABEL AND USE ONLY AS DIRECTED.

For external use only.
Avoid contact with eyes. If in eyes, rinse well with water.
Mild irritation may occur; stop use if it becomes severe.
Solutions are not for ophthalmic, bladder, peritoneal or surgeon's dip bowl usage. MICROSHIELD® 5 Chlorhexidine Concentrate must not come into contact with brain, meninges, middle ear or syringes and needles to be used for spinal injections.
Do not mix with detergents or other chemicals except ethanol as indicated.
Do not use after the expiry date.
