Hydrophilic Coated Nelaton Catheters

MMD Hydrophilic catheters are made from non-toxic DEHP free PVC. Their smooth water soluble polymer coating combined with a heat polished distal tip supports a smooth insertion without the need of lubricants.

IFUs

1.Peel package 2-4 cm and add sterile water to pack to sufficiently lubricate the entire catheter.
2. Wait 15-30 seconds to ensure hydrophilic coating has been activated.
3. Remove catheter from package taking care not to contaminate.
4. Insert the now lubricated catheter gently into the urethra passage until urine starts to flow. Urine can be drained into toilet or into a urine       drainage bag connected to the catheters funnel.
5. When bladder is empty, slowly remove the catheter and place the used catheter into empty package for disposal

Maintaining aseptic technique during insertion is crucial. If the catheter becomes contaminated, discard and commence procedure using a new catheter.
