Acticoat Flex 3 Silver-Coated Antimicrobial Barrier Dressing

Acticoat Flex 3 consists of a flexible, low adherent polyester layer coated with nanocrystalline silver. Acticoat Flex 3 dressings are highly conformable and maintain contact with the wound surface. The dressings are low adherent, minimising trauma at dressing changes.

Acticoat Flex 3 provide an effctive antimicrobial barrier to contamination thus protecting the wound from invadive pathogens, leading to faster healing. Nanocrystalline silver is effective against micro-organisms present in the wound, lowering the risk of infection. The antimicrobial barrier properties of Acticoat Flex 3 dressings remain effective for the wear time of the dressing which is up to 3 days.

Indications

Acticoat Flex 3 antimicrobial wound dressings are for the treatment of acute and chronic wounds including burns, recipient graft sites, surgical sites, venous leg ulcers, pressure ulcers and diabetic ulcers.
ACTICOAT FLEX 3 may be used as a wound contact layer in combination with Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT)
