Mepitel Wound Contact Layer Dressing

Mepitel® is a double-sided soft silicone wound contact layer designed to protect fragile wounds and promote healing with minimal pain on removal.

• Sterile
• 2-sided Soft silicone adhesive
• Wound contact layer

Key Benefits
• Stays in place, but won't adhere to the wound bed
• Minimises pain and trauma during dressing changes
• Transparent for easy wound inspection and can be cleaned by wiping over 'in situ'
• Can remain in place for up to 14 days allowing outer secondary dressing changes as required
• Allows wound fluid to pass through into a secondary dressing like Mesorb or Mextra

Clinically Designed for the management of wounds with moderate to high levels of wound fluid including:
• Skin tears
• Skin abrasions
• Sutured wounds
• Partial-thickness burns
• Partial- and full-thickness grafts
• Diabetic foot ulcers
• Leg ulcers

Mepitel is applied directly to the wound with a secondary absorbent dressing applied on top and secured with a tubular bandage (ie: Tubifast or equivalent).
