Accutrend Triglyceride Strips

Intended use

Test strip for the quantitative determination of triglycerides in fresh or heparinised fresh capillary or heparinised/EDTA venous blood. Use only with the following meters: Accutrend GCT or Accutrend Plus.

Summary

Each test strip has a test area containing detection reagents. When blood is applied, a chemical reaction
takes place and the test area changes colour. The meter records this change in colour and converts the
measurement signal to the displayed result using the data previously entered via the code strip.

The determination of triglycerides provides the physician with initial information on the state of the
patient's lipid metabolism. This information serves as a basis for further diagnostic measures, therapeutic
decisions or monitoring the progress of the patient.
